This tutorial will teach you how to create patterns in Photoshop. Free patterns located on the bottom of the page.

Step 1
Create a new layer with the background transparent – Height 6px and Width 6px.

Zoom in until you cant no more should be at 1600%. ā€œZā€ Is the keyboard shortcut for the zoom tool.

Choose the pencil tool and set the master diameter to 1px. Then draw a line going from the bottom left corner to the top right corner.

Using the rectangular marquee tool select the whole layer.

Go to Edit on the top menu. Choose define pattern, name it what ever you want.

Thats about it to see your pattern in action create a new layer with resolution at 800Ɨ600px – white background. Then go to Edit on the top menu choose Fill. For use option select pattern find the pattern we just created and click ok.
